Larimer County Loveland Campus

200 Peridot Avenue | Loveland | CO

The new Larimer County Loveland Campus was built to better serve the residents of Loveland and southern regions of Larimer County, which spans an area of 2,634 sq miles and includes more than 360,000 residents. The Project is home to multiple Larimer County departments providing citizen services, including Clerk and Recorder, Health and Environment, Human Services, Workforce and Economic Development Center and Sheriff’s Office.

The Architects’ Studio led an integrated design effort that included a number of collaborative design workshops conducted with stakeholders and staff to solicit input and direct the design of the project. As a result, the building design addresses a wide range of needs and is organized to provide synergy between departments, clear wayfinding, easy access for the public and enhanced security for staff.

References to the history of Larimer County and it's communities can be found throughout the project, beginning with a public entry plaza reflecting the shape and range of Larimer County itself, from the mountains to the plains. Sandstone reclaimed from the deconstruction of a prior County Courthouse is incorporated into walls near the building entry, and historic images from throughout Loveland and Larimer County adorn glass panes on the feature wall that rises alongside the main stairway.

Their work is thorough and timely. I believe any organization would be pleased with the creative, value-added design work the team at The Architects’ Studio brings to a project.
